В сфере бизнеса или политики так называется неофициальный, секретный фонд для дачи взяток. Такие деньги называются slush money. Это слово изначально означало излишки животного жира, остающиеся на камбузе, которые кок продавал морякам или населению посещаемых портов, чтобы получить «левый» доход.
